HELP WANTED: Member Service Representative 

Part Time or Full Time – up to 40 hours/week

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE

 

The Member Service Representative is the connection between the member and the credit union.  This position is responsible for professionally handling a variety of financial transaction services for Credit Union members.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  1. Perform routine transactions, including cash and check deposits and withdrawals, issuing checks, processing loan payments and account transfers, and cashing checks.
  2. Represent the credit union to the members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient and accurate service.
  3. Provide in person and by telephone, general, and specific service-related information concerning credit union services or policies.
  4. Perform general office tasks such as filing documents and forms.
  5. Perform account openings and verifications. Introduce new members to credit union services.             
  6. Respond to members’ requests, problems, and complaints and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  1. Promote credit union services to the membership.
  2. Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  1. High school diploma.
  2. Analytical and mathematical ability.
  3. Great communication skills.
  4. Team player.
  5. Good sense of humor. 
  6. Adaptable to different situations.
